Re: “Pregnant Women Face Increased Risks From Covid-19” by Roni Caryn Rabin (The Coronavirus Outbreak, Nov. 2):

COVID-19 is something that has become a part of our daily lives now. Everywhere we go we have to wear masks, work from home, and go through distance learning at school. If you end up going out somewhere, mainly for work, publically interacting with people, you’re most likely going to have to have your temperature taken and asked if you have any symptoms.

I’m heartbroken that the Coronavirus has to affect even unborn babies. They’re already being brought into this scary world, they shouldn’t have to undergo COVID-19 treatment, or even have to die for that matter.

I’m waiting for the day where this can all be over. I’m sure everyone is. The day where we can finally see if someone’s actually smiling and they’re not just using their eyes. The day where we can go out in big groups again. Enjoy large gatherings and not have to fear about getting sick.

I’m terrified that this day will never come. I’m terrified that we will constantly have to live in fear. I miss going to school. I miss my friends, and I miss going out to eat at sit down restaurants. I miss seeing people’s faces, not through a mask.
